Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Atlas Quiz ("the Platform"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time, and your continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. User Accounts

To participate in Atlas Quiz, you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age
• Create an account with accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Be responsible for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

You may not create multiple accounts or share your account with others. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

3. Quiz Participation & Rules

When participating in quizzes, you agree to:

• Answer questions honestly and without external assistance
• Not use automated tools, bots, or scripts
• Not exploit bugs or vulnerabilities in the Platform
• Not engage in any form of cheating or manipulation
• Accept that quiz results and scoring decisions are final

Daily Limits: Users can answer up to 20 regular quiz questions per day, plus 1 daily quiz question. Unused questions accumulate for future days.

Scoring: Points are awarded based on question difficulty and answer speed. Only correct answers earn points. We reserve the right to adjust scoring algorithms.

4. Leaderboard & Competition

The leaderboard displays user rankings based on accumulated XP during the AFCON 2025 tournament period. Rankings are updated in real-time and are publicly visible. We reserve the right to remove or disqualify users who violate these terms or engage in unfair practices. Competition results are final and not subject to dispute.

5. Badges & Rewards

Digital badges and rewards are awarded as follows:

• Golden Armband: Top 10 players
• Silver Shield: Top 50 players
• Bronze Lion: Top 100 players

All rewards are digital and have no monetary value. Badges are awarded based on final rankings after the tournament concludes. We reserve the right to modify reward criteria or withhold rewards from users who violate these terms.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Atlas Quiz or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

7. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Upload malicious code or viruses
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Platform
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Collect or harvest information about other users

8. Content Accuracy

While we strive to ensure all quiz questions and information are accurate, we do not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of content. If you believe a question is incorrect, please report it using our issue reporting feature. We reserve the right to modify or remove questions at any time.

9. Disclaimers

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

• The Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Defects will be corrected
• The Platform is free of viruses or harmful components
• Results or information obtained will be accurate or reliable

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ATLAS QUIZ SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

11. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will immediately cease, and we may delete your account data.

12. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved through binding arbitration.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
